Description

On October 16th 1998, Cartoon Hangover launched a major overhaul to their website, to coincide with the premiere to Season 2 of Bravest Warriors, which was released the following day. This new site gave the service a new, more professional look and feel, as the internet continued to evolve rapidly around it. It featured a design that was more likely to cater for their audience of teens and young adults, and also added extra pages for how to use the service, contact lists, the shows themselves, and a shop consisting of user-submitted art and designs.

From then onward, Cartoon Hangover began to grow in popularity, both because of their shows, as well as their highly-involved campaign of advertisements and product-placements in popular TV shows. The site is believed to have achieved it's highest rate of success from around late 1998 to early 1999. So much so that the site was achieving over one million unique visitors on a regular basis, resulting in multiple upgrades being made to the site's servers to prevent the regular issue of crashes to the site. However, it was from around the Season 2 finale of Bravest Warriors, in which Cartoon Hangover started to fall on hard times...

Just an update to the Cartoon Hangover minus 15 AU. I tried my best to re-create a late-90s early-2000s kinda site. But KompoZer's CSS system is broken, and so there's like this awkward break between buttons on the table of contents. So, the next time there's a major overhaul, I'll probably just make the table of contents a single image.

Anyways, I'll get the next one of these up soon enough, so have fun waiting, I guess.
